Job Description
Job Title: Solutions Engineer Role Summary: Technical sales engineer supporting B2D (business-to-developer) sales cycles. Drives end‑to‑end technical engagement, from discovery to PoC delivery, enabling account executives to close complex deals. Acts as product advocate, providing market feedback and enriching the product roadmap. Expectations: - Own the technical component of the entire sales funnel for a B2D observability platform. - Deliver persuasive demos, PoCs, and technical solutions that address customer pain points. - Communicate deep understanding of observability tools and cloud‑native infrastructure to prospects. - Identify upsell opportunities and influence product enhancements based on customer input. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with account executives to plan, prepare, and execute sales engagements. - Design and present tailored demos and PoCs that illustrate product value. - Manage technical requirements throughout the sales cycle, ensuring successful adoption. - Translate customer needs into actionable product features and prioritize backlog items. - Provide expert guidance on selecting appropriate observability solutions from vendors and open‑source stacks. - Engage with internal communities (e.g., Slack) and external events (conferences, meet‑ups, podcasts). - Offer strategic input on go‑to‑market initiatives and product differentiation. - Travel frequently to enterprise events and client meetings. Required Skills: - 5+ years as Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer. - 2+ years specialized in observability (Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Sumologic, Coralogix, Elastic, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.). - Proficiency with cloud‑native stacks: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift. - Familiarity with observability data sources: CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Fluentd/FluentBit, Prometheus. - Strong presentation and negotiation skills; comfortable leading technical conversations over Zoom or in person. - Consultative, analytical mindset with ability to architect end‑to‑end solutions. - Developer background is an advantage. - Excellent English communication; global knowledge of diverse markets preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - Certifications in cloud platforms or observability tools are a plus.
