Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer Intern Role Summary: 12‑14 week summer internship focused on designing, coding, and testing features for a large-scale teleradiology platform. Interns work within an agile team, collaborate on full‑stack development (C#, HTML/JavaScript, Python, SQL), and contribute production‑ready code that impacts millions of medical image reads. Expectations: - Current undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science or related discipline. - Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Self‑motivated, able to work independently and in a collaborative team setting. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business and user requirements into software specifications. - Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and task scheduling. - Design system components, user interfaces, APIs, and core modules. - Write clean, maintainable code in C#, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and SQL following best practices. - Conduct unit, integration, and system‑level testing; collaborate with QA team for integration/systems testing. - Engage in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers. Required Skills: - Proficiency in C# (highly preferred); familiarity with C++, Java, or similar language. - Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and RESTful API design. - SQL proficiency (Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases). - Python programming experience. - Knowledge of desktop UI frameworks (WinForms, WPF). - Understanding of MVC or MVVM patterns. - Unit and integration testing experience (e.g., NUnit). Tools & Technologies (advantageous): - Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, IIS or equivalent web server.
