Job Description
**Job Title:** Specialist in Systems Engineering **Role Summary:** Responsible for managing the evolution, integration, verification, and validation of hardware and software components of communication systems, ensuring compliance with railway and other relevant standards throughout the project lifecycle. Acts as the technical bridge between project management, development teams, clients, and suppliers. **Expectations:** - University degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering (3‑5 yrs experience) **or** DEC in Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology (5‑8 yrs experience). - Proven experience designing electronic systems in manufacturing/R&D environments. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for complex technical issues. - Excellent written and spoken French and English. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze contractual requirements and translate them into clear system specifications. - Provide technical support and coordination with clients and suppliers. - Design and validate system architectures for proposals and projects. - Develop functional system descriptions and allocate requirements to hardware and software teams. - Serve as liaison between project managers and development teams. - Author and supervise technical documentation (test procedures, assembly instructions, specifications, integration plans, validation procedures, reliability analyses, etc.). - Verify compliance of systems and components with all applicable requirements and standards. - Drive continuous improvement of system‑engineering processes and procedures. - Prepare contractual quality documentation (QA plans, compliance matrices). - Participate in design reviews, First Article Inspections, qualification testing, and on‑site commissioning. **Required Skills:** - Technical knowledge of network architectures, IT infrastructure, digital video systems, and telecommunications (IEEE/EIA, data & voice transmission). - Familiarity with standards/regulations: EN 50155, EN 45545, IEC 62443, IEC, FCC, etc. - Experience integrating embedded and industrial systems; basic cybersecurity awareness. - Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work with multidisciplinary groups. - Project‑technical management and stakeholder coordination experience. - Leadership, planning, organization, and autonomous work style. - Ability to produce clear, precise technical documentation and deliver innovative solutions. - Customer‑service orientation and adaptability to change. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering **or** DEC in Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IEC 62443, networking, cybersecurity) are a plus but not mandatory.
