Job Description
**Job Title:** Summer Student – Printing/Property Maintenance **Role Summary:** A temporary, full‑time support role within a municipal corporate services environment. Provides administrative printing services, mail handling, and basic property maintenance for City Hall operations during the summer term. **Expectations:** - Availability for the full term (May 4 – August 28 2026) and mandatory orientation on May 4, 2026. - Currently enrolled in post‑secondary studies and returning to full‑time studies in September 2026. - Hold a valid G2 driver’s licence. - Work 35 hours/week, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm. **Key Responsibilities:** - Print and collate documents for all departments (e.g., council agendas, contracts, manuals). - Monitor and replenish toner, paper; perform routine copier/printer maintenance. - Sort, distribute, and apply postage to outgoing mail; pick up and deliver incoming mail and council agendas. - Manage outgoing shipments: complete waybills, coordinate with contacts, maintain shipment journal. - Assist with indoor property upkeep (painting, custodial cleaning) and outdoor grounds maintenance. **Required Skills:** - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication. - High attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. - Basic proficiency with multifunction printing equipment and mail‑handling procedures. - Basic manual dexterity for light maintenance tasks. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a post‑secondary program (any field). - Intent to resume full‑time studies after the term. - Valid G2 driver’s licence.
