Social Media Associate – Interiors & Events
**Role Summary**
Manage three client Instagram accounts, creating and scheduling visual content, filming and editing reels, attending on‑site shoots, engaging the community, and reporting performance to support brand growth.
**Expectations**
- Contract, full‑time (35–40 hrs/week), 70% remote, 30% on‑site in DC/MD/VA.
- Weekly client calls to brainstorm content and pitch ideas.
- Attend client shoots 2–3 times/month to film reels and capture BTS material.
- Deliver on‑brand visuals, captions, and stories that drive engagement.
- Use HeyOrca for scheduling, Trello for project management, CapCut for video editing, Canva for graphics, and Pinterest for pin design.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Plan and schedule weekly content calendar (feed, reels, stories, newsletters).
2. Write compelling captions, tags, and calls‑to‑action.
3. Film, edit, and publish reels and live story content.
4. Attend client shoots; capture styling walk‑throughs, interviews, and behind‑the‑scenes footage.
5. Manage daily engagement: respond to comments, DMs, reposts, and tags.
6. Design Instagram graphics and Pinterest pins in Canva.
7. Analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and recommend optimizations.
8. Communicate consistently with clients, asking insightful questions and offering fresh ideas.
**Required Skills**
- Strong written communication and storytelling.
- Visual design aptitude; proficiency in Canva; basic Pinterest design skills.
- Light video editing with CapCut.
- Experience with Instagram (Reels, Stories), scheduling platforms (HeyOrca), project tools (Trello).
- Social media analytics and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative abilities; detail‑oriented.
- Willingness to travel within DC/MD/VA for on‑site shoots.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- No mandatory certifications required; familiarity with social media tools and platforms preferred.
