Senior Business/Functional Analyst
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end requirement engineering, translating customer needs into detailed functional analyses, and oversee a small team of analysts. Partner with product owners, developers, and operations to ensure releases deliver business value while maintaining quality and alignment with the broader application strategy.
Expectations
- Own the full requirements lifecycle from elicitation to customer validation.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation and enforce quality standards for all functional outputs.
- Manage, coach, and develop analyst team members, ensuring consistent performance and professional growth.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities during release cycles, including risk assessment, support to development, and post-release hypercare.
- Influence future roadmap by identifying commercial and functional opportunities across the application portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to uncover and prioritize requirements.
- Draft, review, and validate functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Check deliverables for completeness, consistency, and alignment with business goals.
- Conduct 1‑on‑1s, performance reviews, and workload planning for team members.
- Collaborate with Delivery, Operations, and Development to clarify requirements, assess risk, and verify implementation.
- Participate in hypercare, release notes preparation, and hotfix requirements collection.
- Build and nurture relationships with user groups, key users, and field stakeholders to gather ongoing feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong functional analysis and requirements engineering expertise.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into clear, structured technical requirements.
- People management experience: coaching, performance management, and team coordination.
- Excellent communication in business and technical contexts.
- Ability to maintain a high-level view of application portfolio and anticipate future needs.
- Proficiency in French and Dutch; English acceptable for documentation and communication.
Required Education & Certifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Law degree or equivalent is a plus, not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PBA, Scrum Master) are advantageous but not required.
