YOUR CHALLENGE

Guiding the Release Flow Toward Effective, High‑Quality Solutions

You take ownership of a critical part of the release lifecycle — from translating customer expectations into clear functional insights to delivering well-defined requirements to the development team. You oversee and coordinate all related processes within Aginco, ensuring smooth collaboration and consistent progress.

You guarantee that functional analyses are delivered with precision, quality, and speed. This means proactively aligning with both internal teams and customers, identifying needs early, and driving the actions required to keep the process on track.

With your natural people skills, you do the follow-up of a small team of functional analysts.

You challenge whether what they deliver meets the customer's requirements and occasionally carry out a functional analysis from A to Z yourself.

As the senior functional analyst, you understand the applications in depth and have a sharp view of what users truly need. You connect business expectations with technical feasibility, shaping solutions that make a real difference.

YOU ARE

A Senior Business/ Functional Analyst

You’re no stranger to the IT world. You already have solid experience translating business needs into clear, structured functional analyses. You intuitively step into the customer’s world, anticipate their needs, and approach every situation from their perspective.[JK1] You speak the language of business when needed, and switch effortlessly to “IT” when collaborating with developers. On top of that, you’re a genuine people manager who thrives on helping your team grow, perform, and excel.

New projects energize you. You are committed to meeting deadlines, and thrive in a setting where you collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. You don’t just help shape the future — you also verify that the delivered software truly meets the requirements. You understand the application landscape as it exists today and play an active role in testing the solutions of tomorrow.

You bring knowledge of software development and a strong sense of impact assessment. You maintain a helicopter view across all Aginco applications, ensuring coherence and quality throughout.

Your profile:

Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Fluent in French and Dutch
A law degree is a plus, but not required
Strong people management skills

A DAY IN THE LIFE

of a Senior Business/Functional Analyst

Your day begins with steering the full requirements lifecycle. You work closely with customers, product owners, and internal stakeholders to uncover new needs, prioritize them, document them clearly, and validate that they align with real business value. With a strategic view across all Aginco applications, you constantly scan for functional and commercial opportunities and shape them into a coherent, forward-looking roadmap.

As the coordinator of the functional analyst team, you plan and organize their work, ensuring that every functional analysis meets high standards. You challenge assumptions, check for completeness and consistency, and make sure every deliverable reflects Aginco’s broader vision. Throughout the day, you guide analysts through documentation, provide constructive feedback, coach them in their growth, and review all outputs before they move on to customer validation.

During release cycles, your role becomes even more collaborative. You partner with Delivery, Operations, and Development to clarify requirements, assess risks, support developers during implementation, and confirm that the final features truly meet business expectations. You also contribute to hypercare activities, clinics, release notes, and the gathering of hotfix requirements. Your interactions extend beyond internal teams. You stay closely connected with user groups, key users, and field stakeholders, gathering insights and nurturing strong relationships that help shape future improvements. As a team lead, you also take responsibility for performance follow-up—coaching team members, planning workloads, conducting 1‑on‑1s, and leading evaluation discussions.

By the end of the day, you’ve balanced strategic thinking, hands-on analysis, cross-team collaboration, and people leadership—ensuring that Aginco’s solutions continue to evolve in a thoughtful, structured, and user‑driven way.
