Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment Scheduling Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scheduling and sequencing software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring real‑time coordination of wafer handling, recipe execution, precursor pulsing, purging, plasma steps, and multi‑chamber operations. Expectations: Deliver robust, high‑performance C++/C# code that facilitates seamless integration with hardware, control systems, and MES interfaces. Collaborate with hardware, factory, and cross‑functional teams to enhance machine performance and support real‑time factory operations. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain C++ and C# applications for semiconductor equipment scheduling and process sequencing. - Design scheduling logic for wafer handling, recipe execution, precursor pulsing, purging, plasma steps, and multi‑chamber coordination. - Integrate software with equipment control systems (GUI, recipe management, data logging) and MES interfaces. - Write and optimize real‑time code for hardware‑software interfacing. - Collaborate with hardware and factory engineers to implement performance‑enhancing solutions. - Debug, troubleshoot, and improve system performance in live factory environments. - Contribute to factory network integration and automation for semiconductor processes. - Review code and contribute to software architecture decisions. - Align development activities with business and technical objectives. Required Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - 3+ years of hands‑on experience with scheduling or sequencing software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. - 10+ years of programming experience, primarily in C++. - Strong background in hardware‑software interfacing within a semiconductor equipment setting. - Proficiency in C# and real‑time software development. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
