Software Engineer - Semiconductor Equipment Scheduling

Background: This client is a large OEM for semiconductor equipment. They need a highly specialized software engineer that as worked on select components within semiconductor equipment for chip production.

Project:

Develop and maintain C++ and C# software solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Design, develop, and maintain the scheduling logic and process sequencing software that orchestrates wafer handling, recipe execution, precursor pulsing, purging, plasma steps, and multi-chamber coordination in manufacturing tools.
Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, and integration with the overall equipment control system (GUI, recipe management, data logging, and MES interfaces).
Write and optimize code for hardware-software interfacing, ensuring seamless real-time communication between applications and semiconductor machinery.
Work closely with hardware and factory engineers to implement software solutions that enhance machine performance.
Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance in real-time factory operations.
Contribute to factory network integration and automation for semiconductor processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software development with business and technical objectives.

Required Skills:

Bachelors + in Computer science
3+ years of hands-on experience developing scheduling or sequencing software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
10+ years of programming experience, specifically in C++
Strong background in hardware-software interfacing in a semiconductor equipment environment.
