Job Description
Job title: Business Development Generalist – B2B Sales Role Summary: Lead the first stage of the sales cycle by prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing B2B leads in the technology and financial sectors. Build and manage a pipeline, ensuring accurate data in the CRM, and hand off qualified opportunities to the Sales Executive for closure. Expectations: - Generate 20–30 qualified leads per month, maintaining a conversion rate of at least 30% to sales opportunities. - Achieve and report on weekly and monthly pipeline metrics aligned with company sales targets. - Demonstrate consistent use of SPIN selling techniques and maintain a minimum lead‑scoring accuracy of 85%. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and research new prospects using search engines, LinkedIn, industry reports, and other digital channels. - Initiate outreach (cold calls, emails, social media) to establish relationships and uncover business needs. - Qualify leads by assessing product fit, urgency, budget, and decision‑maker authority. - Score and prioritize leads, documenting findings and updates in Salesforce or an equivalent Sales Hub. - Nurture leads through educational content, tailored presentations, and regular follow‑ups until ready for hand‑off. - Collaborate with Sales Executives to refine targeting strategies and optimize lead hand‑off processes. - Track activity metrics, analyze performance, and recommend improvements. - Maintain data integrity and data hygiene across the CRM. Required Skills: - 2+ years of experience in B2B lead generation, sales, or business development, preferably in technology or financial services. - Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable Sales Hub platform. - Strong research and market‑analysis capabilities; experienced in using search engines, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other research tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable creating and presenting high‑level PowerPoint solutions. - Proven ability to apply SPIN selling methodology. - High energy, strong phone skills, and a positive, proactive attitude. - Solid project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple prospecting campaigns simultaneously. - Comfortable working in a fast‑paced start‑up environment and meeting aggressive lead targets. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field. - Sales or demand‑generation certifications (e.g., Certified Inside Sales Professional) are preferred but not mandatory.
