**Job title:** Director, Procurement
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, launch, and maturation of an enterprise procurement function for a multi‑campus, capital‑intensive organization. Build governance, policies, and systems that drive disciplined cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic supplier partnership while aligning procurement decisions with financial and capital planning.
**Expectations:**
- Build procurement from ground up in a lean environment.
- Operate as strategic business partner with Finance, Legal, IT, Facilities, Marketing, and Operations.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and procurement performance improvements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Procurement Governance:** Define policies, approval matrices, delegation of authority, audit compliance, and escalation procedures.
- **Operating Model:** Design enterprise purchase‑order process, requisition workflow, and performance metrics. Partner with IT to evaluate P2P and procurement systems.
- **Strategic Sourcing & Contracting:** Lead category strategies for indirect and direct spend; conduct RFPs, vendor negotiations, and contract renewals. Collaborate with Legal on contract structure.
- **Vendor Management:** Develop onboarding, performance, risk, and renewal frameworks; rationalize vendor base; manage high‑value supplier relationships.
- **Spend Analytics & Finance Partnership:** Create spend visibility tools, analyze savings opportunities, and report realized savings to Finance and C‑Suite.
- **Cost Optimization:** Champion enterprise‑wide cost‑saving initiatives, support budgeting/forecasting, and provide market intelligence to senior leaders.
**Required Skills:**

- Proficiency in sourcing, negotiation, contract administration, and spend analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Procurement certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP, or equivalent) advantageous.
