Job title: Social & Community Manager
Role Summary:
Develop, execute, and analyze comprehensive social and community strategies for indie game titles and the Curveball Games brand, driving engagement, growth, and brand advocacy across multiple digital platforms.
Expectations:
• Own end‑to‑end social and community initiatives from concept through measurement.
• Deliver consistent, data‑driven content that resonates with diverse gaming audiences.
• Maintain proactive, authentic presence in key player forums and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage end‑to‑end social strategies for multiple titles and brand.
- Lead multi‑channel campaigns on Twitter (X), TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Create and maintain content calendars aligned with brand, milestones, and marketing beats.
- Produce diverse content: static graphics, short‑form video, social‑first creatives, and reactive posts.
- Source, engage, and nurture relationships with global content creators and influencers.
- Track, analyze, and report on social KPIs, trends, and player insights.
- Define tone‑of‑voice guidelines for products and corporate brand.
- Build and grow community platforms (e.g., Discord, Reddit, Steam groups).
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and PR on tactical and go‑to‑market campaigns.
- Act as product advocate across player‑centric spaces, generating conversation and buzz.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years in social media and community management within gaming or entertainment.
- Proven growth of social channels from early stages to substantial engagement.
- Experience launching and nurturing online communities from scratch.
- Strong content creation: copywriting, graphics, and short‑form video production.
- In‑depth knowledge of player behaviour across Twitter (X), TikTok, Reddit, Steam, Discord, and similar platforms.
- Demonstrated influencer relations in video games or related media.
- Excellent written and spoken English; adept at tone, humor, and audience‑specific messaging.
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable strategies and ROI metrics.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable owning verticals while supporting broader marketing efforts.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications in social media strategy, community management, or digital marketing (optional).
