Head of Operations
**Role Summary**
Part‑time (20 hrs/week) leadership position responsible for the day‑to‑day running, strategic planning, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s operations. Works closely with executive leadership, committee members, and the Office Management Team to deliver high‑quality membership services, events, and initiatives while ensuring compliance, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement.
**Expectations**

- Translate strategy into operational plans that support the organisation’s growth and long‑term vision.
- Maintain a collaborative, positive culture within the Office Management Team.
- Ensure all membership, event, financial, and governance processes are fit for purpose and continuously improved.
- Represent the organisation externally with industry partners, sponsors, and academic institutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Operational Leadership** – Oversee day‑to‑day activities, develop policies, procedures, and workflows.
2. **Team Management & Coordination** – Line‑manage the Office Management Team, coordinate workloads, schedules, and priorities.
3. **Membership Services** – Support the Membership Manager; oversee the membership lifecycle, digital platforms, and user experience.
4. **Financial & Governance Support** – Collaborate on budgeting, contracts, financial reporting, and compliance with legal & data‑protection obligations.
5. **Events & Programmes** – Manage operational delivery of major events and training sessions; coordinate logistics, suppliers, timelines, and administrative frameworks.
6. **Stakeholder & Industry Engagement** – Build and sustain relationships with partners, sponsors, and service providers; represent the organisation at relevant events.
7. **Digital & Systems Oversight** – Supervise the website, membership platform, communications tools, and data storage; lead digital improvements and ensure data protection.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, operations, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications relevant to operations, project management, or finance (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CPA) preferred.
