Job Description
Job Title: Contract Backend/Fullstack Developer – AI Agency Role Summary: Part‑time senior developer (15‑25 hrs/week) building end‑to‑end web applications for AI‑powered startups and enterprises. Direct collaboration with the founder on client projects, delivering production‑ready Django backends, React frontends, and AWS infrastructure, while integrating LLMs, RAG, and agentic features. Expectations: - Commit to a minimum of 3–6 months of availability. - Work during Pacific Time hours. - Use Claude Code as the primary coding tool and follow agentic development practices. - Deliver code on schedule, maintain high quality through tests and security best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and ship Django APIs and React components. - Deploy applications on AWS (ECS, ECR, Lambda) with CI/CD pipelines. - Integrate LLM APIs, manage prompt engineering, latency, and evaluation. - Implement RAG systems and agentic workflows where appropriate. - Write automated tests, perform code reviews, and enforce security standards. - Communicate progress and technical decisions to the founder and clients. - Provide iterative feedback and mentor junior contributors as needed. Required Skills: - 5+ years of full‑stack or backend development experience. - Proficient in Python, Django, React, TypeScript, and AWS services. - Proven track record of shipping production web applications. - Experience integrating LLMs into live systems (prompt management, latency tuning). - Comfortable with AI coding tools and adopting new development workflows. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Security‑focused, test‑driven development mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
