This is a part-time contract role (15-25 hours/week to start) with flexible, ongoing hours.
If you can't commit to a few months of availability, it won't work.
We're hiring a software engineer, not a data scientist or ML researcher. You should be building and shipping web applications, not training models or doing analysis
We build complete products, not just AI features. You'll work on auth, APIs, databases, deployment, frontend—the full stack.
You must be comfortable adopting Claude Code as your primary development tool
The Role
You'll work directly with the founder on client projects, building AI-powered applications for startups and enterprise teams. This means full product development: Django backends, React frontends, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, and yes—RAG systems, LLM integrations, and agents where they add value.
This is hands-on fullstack/backend engineering. You'll architect solutions, write production code, and ship working software. We use agentic coding tools to accelerate delivery, not replace engineering judgment.

What We're Looking For
Senior backend or fullstack developer with production experience shipping web applications
Experience integrating LLMs into production systems (latency, evaluation, prompt management)
Already using AI coding tools in your workflow
Willing to adopt Claude Code and follow our agentic development practices
Can work semi-autonomously but open to feedback and coaching
Strong communication skills
Security-conscious, writes tests, maintains code quality
Available during Pacific time hours
