Job title: Data Analyst – Modeller (PhD required) – Mobility & Transport
Role Summary:
Lead advanced quantitative studies in mobility and transport, delivering technical and strategic analyses, data-driven models, and actionable insights to public and private stakeholders.
Expectations:
• Native French speaker with flawless written and oral proficiency; strong presentation and pedagogical abilities required.
• PhD with completed thesis in transport, mobility, civil engineering, applied mathematics, transport economics, or related data‑science field.
• Demonstrated analytical, synthesis, and structured thinking skills.
• Committed to continual learning, improvement, and adherence to guidance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct technical and strategic mobility studies, applying advanced analytical and modelling techniques.
2. Analyse large datasets, build predictive and optimisation models in Python, and interpret complex results.
3. Produce clear reports, briefs, and deliverables for clients (municipalities, institutions, private actors).
4. Present findings verbally to partners and clients, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
5. Contribute to methodological innovation, scientific/technical watch, and commercial support (tender responses, study scoping).
Required Skills:
• PhD‑level research and thesis experience.
• Mastery of statistical and machine‑learning methods, data manipulation, and model validation.
• Programming in Python (including libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn, geopandas).
• Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents).
• Excellent French composition and oral communication; ability to train or explain complex concepts.
• Strong research and literature‑review capabilities.
• Comfortable with stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
• PhD in Transport Engineering, Mobility Studies, Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Transport Economics, Applied Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Advanced thesis required.
