**Job Title:** Associate Financial Planner **Role Summary:** Remote‑first associate financial planner supporting a Lead Financial Planner in a growth‑focused advisory firm. Initially split between client‑facing duties (≈65%) and paraplanning tasks (≈35%), transitioning to full associate responsibilities within 12 months and progressing to Lead Financial Planner within 12‑18 months. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, compliant financial advice under supervision. - Actively contribute in client meetings and take ownership of client files. - Complete paraplanning deliverables (suitability reports, technical research). - Pursue professional qualification to Chartered/CFP status. - Maintain rigorous compliance and documentation standards. - Participate in quarterly Bristol meet‑ups and occasional client site visits. **Key Responsibilities:** - Attend and actively participate in client meetings; later lead meetings independently. - Prepare suitability reports, conduct technical research, and support new‑business paraplanning. - Shadow senior planners for mentorship and skill development. - Manage client file completeness, compliance, and risk assessment. - Identify planning opportunities, develop recommendations, and oversee implementation with administrators/paraplanners. - Conduct annual reviews and update client plans, agendas, and meeting notes. - Communicate with clients via email, secure messaging, phone, and in‑person. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; client‑focused relationship building. - Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate within a team. - Time‑management and organizational skills to handle multiple client dossiers. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Working towards Chartered Financial Planner (CISI) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CISI Diploma in Financial Planning, SRA) preferred.
