Job Description

**Job title:** Java Developer – Level 2 **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java with Spring for integration between Azure‑hosted platforms and Manhattan’s WMS/TMS/LMS systems. Support warehouse claims processing, contribute to Angular‑based internal tools, and collaborate in an Agile environment to ensure performance, scalability, and code quality. **Expectations:** - Minimum 5 years of Java and Spring development experience (open to strong junior candidates with high learning aptitude). - Proficiency with Azure cloud services and modern integration patterns. - Working knowledge of Angular (v10 +). - Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and effective communication with cross‑functional teams. - Must reside within the Cincinnati/Blue Ash/Dayton/NCKY area and be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship). **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, code, test, and maintain RESTful microservices using Java 8/11+ and Spring Boot. - Build and support integrations with Manhattan logistics systems (WMS, TMS, LMS). - Develop and deploy Azure‑based solutions (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Storage). - Participate in the rollout of a warehouse claims processing application. - Contribute to Angular front‑end components for internal tools when required. - Conduct code reviews, design discussions, and attend Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprints, retrospectives). - Ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of services. **Required Skills:** - Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC/Rest, JPA/Hibernate, JDBC. - RESTful API design, integration patterns (REST, messaging, event‑driven). - Azure services (Functions, App Service, Service Bus, Storage, Logic Apps). - SQL/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB). - Angular (v10 + basics), HTML5, CSS3. - Source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated unit/integration testing. - Agile development practices. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and independent working skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No mandatory certifications, but Azure or Spring certifications are a plus.
