Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Part‑time engineering internship focused on enhancing a web‑based OSINT platform. Interns will assist in parsing deep/dark web data, translating client requirements into technical specifications, and developing UI and API features for a large‑scale intelligence repository. **Expectations:** - Minimum 8 hours per week, flexible schedule. - Remote or Chicago‑based work. - Collaborative interaction with developers and client‑facing teams. - Ability to meet project deadlines and adapt to evolving priorities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Parse and ingest new deep‑web and dark‑web data sets for integration into the platform. - Gather and analyze customer requirements; produce clear technical specifications. - Support enhancement of existing web application functionality and contribute to new feature development. - Assist in API design and implementation for search and data retrieval. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities. **Required Skills:** - Strong programming proficiency in Python. - Experience with web application development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and RESTful API design. - Familiarity with search applications and data indexing. - Basic understanding of open‑source intelligence (OSINT) and dark‑web data collection processes. - Good problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical field. - No specific certifications required.
