POSITION TITLE: Intern (Engineering)

LOCATION: Chicago, IL or Remote

POSITION SUMMARY

Interns will work part-time with our engineering and development teams to improve functionality of our user interface; parse deep and dark web data; and support other ongoing projects at the cutting edge of OSINT.

Intern schedules are flexible and will be discussed as part of the interview process, but will generally involve at least eight (8) hours of work per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Interns will generally:

Help District 4’s developers parse new deep and dark web data sets ahead of addition to DARKSIDE.
Work with client-facing team members to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for enhancements.
Support leadership in improving current web application functionality and building new features.
Have familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT) and/or dark web intelligence collection and/or processes.
Past education and/or work experience with web application development, API development, and search applications.
Strong programming skills in Python
