Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineering Intern **Role Summary:** Contribute to the development of mission‑critical software that controls high‑altitude platforms (HAPS). Work on avionics, ground systems, or simulation modules, collaborating with a cross‑disciplinary team to transform prototypes into production‑ready solutions. **Expectations:** - 12‑week full‑time internship, 40 hrs/week. - On‑site work required at a single location. - Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning new languages and technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, code, and test software components for flight‑control, mission planning, or simulation. - Integrate code with avionics subsystems and ground‑based GUIs. - Use version control (Git) for all development. - Collaborate with engineers from systems, electronics, and data science backgrounds. - Iterate on user feedback to improve interface usability. - Participate in design reviews and sprint planning. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in at least one general‑purpose programming language (Python, C, C++, JavaScript, or equivalent). - Experience with low‑level or systems programming concepts. - Familiarity with GUI application development. - Version control proficiency (Git). - Strong verbal and written communication. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related STEM field. ---
