Job Description
Job title: Accounts Payable Assistant Role Summary: Provide administrative and operational support to the Financial Services team within a professional services firm. Manage day‑to‑day accounts payable processes, client onboarding, billing, invoicing, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with internal procedures. Expectations: - 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance support, ideally within a law firm or similar professional services environment. - Demonstrated ability to work proactively, pay close attention to detail, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting. - Strong communication skills with a professional presentation and approach to internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver day‑to‑day administrative support to the Financial Services team. - Assist with client onboarding and matter opening procedures. - Support billing, invoicing, and financial reporting processes. - Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance with firm procedures and policies. - Maintain accurate records and contribute to ad‑hoc projects as required. - Participate in continuous improvement of financial workflows and documentation. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Familiarity with accounting software and invoicing systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent). - Strong organisational, time‑management, and prioritisation abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. - Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Any relevant accounting or finance certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus but not mandatory.
