Job Description

**Job Title:** Business Development Manager (Referrals & Partnerships) **Role Summary:** Lead the referrals and partnerships strategy for children’s residential and educational services, driving growth through proactive engagement with commissioners and local authorities. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable business development results. - Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships. - Ensure alignment with local authority commissioning processes. - Advocate for improved outcomes for children and young people. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute a comprehensive referrals & partnerships plan. - Identify, approach, and secure new partnership opportunities. - Manage relationships with commissioners, local authorities, and other key stakeholders. - Analyse market trends and commissioning frameworks to inform strategy. - Coordinate placement processes and ensure timely, compliant delivery. - Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and networking events. - Monitor performance metrics and report on progress to senior leadership. **Required Skills:** - Proven business development experience within children’s social care or education. - Strong stakeholder‑management and communication abilities. - In‑depth understanding of local authority commissioning processes. - Proactive, professional, and passionate about child outcomes. - Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, business, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - At least 2 years of business development experience in a relevant sector. ---
