Job title: Zscaler Solutions Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end design, deployment, and support of Zscaler Platform, ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX solutions for enterprise clients. Act as a technical advisor during pre‑sales, PoC, and post‑sales engagements, ensuring secure, scalable Zero Trust architectures and meeting client performance and security goals.
Expections:
- Independently manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Provide clear, client‑focused technical guidance and documentation.
- Anticipate and resolve technical issues before they impact delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of Zscaler product updates, security trends, and competing solutions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, engineering, support, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirement gathering and assess network, security, and application architectures.
- Design secure, scalable Zscaler deployments tailored to customer environments.
- Lead PoC deployments, demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concept validation.
- Own the full deployment lifecycle: configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and handoff to support.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues during deployments and support escalations.
- Create high‑quality implementation guides, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
- Deliver training and knowledge‑transfer sessions to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Represent Zscaler as a Zero Trust evangelist in the marketplace.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years hands‑on experience with Zscaler products (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
- 5+ years in network security engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, SSL inspection, CASB, SWG, DLP, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience deploying cloud‑based security solutions in enterprise settings.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for client interaction and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Proficient with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS patterns.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: Zscaler certifications (e.g., Zscaler Certified Professional) or equivalent cloud security certifications.
