Job Description
**Job Title:** Director – Security Operations **Role Summary:** Lead and manage all security operations for a healthcare division, ensuring strategic alignment, financial stewardship, and service excellence. Responsible for client relations, team leadership, budget control, performance metrics, and compliance with industry standards. **Expectations:** - Achieve division P&L and budget objectives. - Deliver high-quality security services that meet or exceed client expectations. - Maintain and enhance operational metrics, KPIs, and compliance standards. - Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as primary contact for client operational issues (budget, service levels, KPIs). - Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all security activities in assigned regions. - Recruit, coach, evaluate, and develop direct reports to build bench strength. - Analyze industry trends, advise on organizational impact, and recommend strategic initiatives. - Prepare and manage budgets, including overtime, payroll, and billing accuracy. - Develop and implement metrics and evaluation tools to measure effectiveness and productivity. - Coordinate training programs for security personnel and ensure skill alignment. - Build and maintain relationships with facility security representatives, local public safety agencies, and internal stakeholders. - Participate in client transition teams for newly acquired accounts. - Ensure compliance with aviation and healthcare security regulations and industry best practices. **Required Skills:** - Leadership and team management with ability to motivate large teams. - Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution. - Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Client‑service orientation and ability to build consensus. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field. - 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare or security environment. - IAHSS Certified Healthcare Protection Professional Administrator (or equivalent) within one year of eligibility. - Certified Protection Professional (ASIS) preferred within one year of eligibility. - Healthcare or security industry credentials and relevant training are a plus.
