Position Summary

This position is accountable for Healthcare Division objectives by assisting in the development of the strategies, programs and policies as well as working with P&L and budgets necessary to meet client needs. Directs all security activities and staff within assigned region. Monitors overall quality effectiveness and makes expert recommendations to Tarian leadership. Preferred: candidates reside in Texas or Colorado.

Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Acts as the primary division contact for client issues related to operations (budget, P&L post orders, service levels, KPI's, etc.)
Takes a proactive role in communicating with clients and meeting his/her needs; meets with clients regularly, listen to issues and provides security and technical expertise and solutions
Provides strategic direction to all security operations in assigned region(s).
Effectively hires, manages, motivates, coaches, and formally evaluates the performance of all direct reports for future bench strength and positive account performance.
Analyzes industry business conditions and trends and advises on organizational impact.
Prepares and manages budgets, purchases and makes recommendations for other company expenditures to meet divisional financial goals including, but not limited to, overtime, payroll and billing accuracy.
Responsible for the development and implementation of metrics and evaluation tools.
Analyzes divisional effectiveness and productivity and makes recommendations and/or changes as appropriate.
Coordinates and assists with various security personnel training programs as needed.
Ability to quickly identify problems and implement effective countermeasures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Duities & Responsibilities

Maintains a positive working relationship with facility security representatives and other facility management personnel, local public safety agencies, and Tarian Administration.
Participates in rewards and recognition programs.
Write letters of recognition and thank you notes for successful or positive situations involving Tarian and its staff.
Participates as a transition team member for all newly acquired Tarian security clients.
Provides value-added components and services to the HCA security program to include industry compliance activities.
Maintains familiarity with aviation industry organizations and items affecting global aviation security.
Provides other duties at the direction of or in the absence of the Vice President.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration or related discipline
5-7 years of experience in a leadership role preferably in a healthcare security environment.
Require IAHSS Certified Healthcare Protection Professional Administrator Certificate within one year of eligibility
Prefer American Society for Industrial Security's Certified Protection Professional Certificate within one year of eligibility
Healthcare and/or Security industry credentials and specific training preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams of employees
Able to function with strategic orientation and act tactically as required
Able to build strong relationships at multiple levels within the organization and with customers, partners and the public
Able to demonstrate consensus building and negotiation skills within an organizational climate of collegiality and diverse operational activities.
Able to perform with high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
Experience with budget implementation and control
Excellent analytical skills and reasoning abilities
Able to work independently, manage time, seek solutions, and problem solve
Strong aptitude for customer service and a sincere willingness to serve and do right by the customer
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Maintain a current and valid Driver's license
