Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior Cybersecurity Enterprise Architect **Role Summary:** Lead the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise‑wide cybersecurity architecture for a large public‑sector environment. Provide strategic direction and hands‑on technical expertise across hybrid IT, security telemetry, SIEM, and detection platforms while advising senior leadership and ensuring compliance with NIST‑aligned frameworks. **Expectations:** - 15+ years enterprise architecture experience; 12+ years IT infrastructure architecture; 10+ years cybersecurity architecture. - Proven ability to operate in high‑visibility, mission‑critical settings with executive stakeholders. - Ability to work hybrid (on‑site in Austin or San Antonio as required) within standard CST business hours, with occasional after‑hours support. - U.S. work authorization; willingness to travel per state guidelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and maintain enterprise architecture across on‑prem, cloud, and virtualization environments. - Develop and enforce architecture strategies that enhance security posture, resilience, and operational continuity. - Architect security telemetry pipelines, SIEM/log management, and network threat‑detection solutions. - Establish and lead architecture governance processes, decision records, and technical standards. - Evaluate and mitigate architectural risks; resolve cross‑organizational technical conflicts. - Define technical requirements, evaluate vendors, and support major procurement initiatives. - Deliver executive‑level briefings and serve as a trusted technical advisor to leadership and operational teams. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of enterprise and security architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, NIST RMF). - Expertise in hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies. - Strong experience with SIEM, log management, security telemetry, and network detection tools. - Proven governance leadership; ability to produce clear architecture documentation and decision artifacts. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive briefing skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent strongly preferred.
