About the Company

WM5G is an innovation and digital adoption company, born from a 3-year DCMS (The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport) funded programme to accelerate the roll out of 5G.

In March 2022, this project came to an end and research shows that it has driven significant economic and social benefits for the region, with the West Midlands now having the best 5G coverage in the UK and boosted its local economy by more than £100m.

We are now using the case studies and learnings from the DCMS testbed trials to deliver better connectivity and tech solutions to the Healthcare sector and to speed up the roll out of, new 5G products and services connectivity solutions, AI and Internet of Things to help businesses become future fit for the whole of the UK.

Job Description
**Job Title** Junior Marketing Communications Officer **Role Summary** Provide hands‑on support over a three‑month fixed‑term contract for multi‑channel marketing and communication initiatives focused on health and care programs. Work independently and collaboratively to produce content, manage social media, engage stakeholders, and ensure brand consistency across internal and external communications. **Expectations** - Early‑stage marketing professional, agile and creative. - Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced, complex environment. - Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines. **Key Responsibilities** - Deliver multi‑channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, print, stakeholder). - Create engaging social media content, short‑form video, blog posts, newsletters, and internal briefings. - Manage and update website content via WordPress. - Produce simple visual assets and graphics using Canva or Adobe Suite, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. - Attend community and project sites to gather testimonials, interviews, photos, and video content. - Translate insights into compelling written and visual narratives. - Maintain content libraries, marketing systems, and asset records. - Support meetings, action tracking, and general administrative tasks. - Assist with events, workshops, and on‑site engagements as required. **Required Skills** - Demonstrable experience or qualification in marketing, communications, or digital content production. - Strong understanding of social media platforms and contemporary content trends. - Basic video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite). - Experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut. - Ability to produce simple visual and design assets. - Excellent written communication, clarity, and tone. - Self‑directed, able to manage tasks with minimal supervision. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field. - Relevant certifications in digital marketing, content creation, or multimedia production preferred.
