Job Description
**Job Title:** Director, Marketing Programs and Technical Services **Role Summary:** Lead national pork marketing strategy, client engagement, and technical support programs to increase Canadian pork demand and market competitiveness. **Expectations:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. - Minimum 7 years in retail, foodservice, CPG, or meat sales. - Proven expertise in marketing strategy development, program execution, and ROI analysis. - Strong knowledge of the Canadian pork industry and promotions. - Demonstrated stakeholder collaboration across producers, processors, and retailers. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Execute national pork marketing strategy and annual investment plans. 2. Develop budgets, calendars, and KPIs to measure campaign performance. 3. Collaborate with provincial organizations, processors, retailers, and foodservice clients on promotion initiatives. 4. Identify and implement new market opportunities and promotional activities to boost demand. 5. Manage retail, foodservice, and trade channel programs, ensuring technical support for product usage and education. 6. Analyze program performance and ROI to optimize outcomes. 7. Negotiate and finalize contracts with partners and service providers. 8. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between domestic and international marketing teams. **Required Skills:** - Strategic marketing and program management. - Stakeholder engagement and negotiation. - Budgeting, contract management, and data analysis. - Industry expertise in pork production and retail/foodservice markets. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholders. - Microsoft Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent. - Proficiency in primary/secondary meat processing methods is an asset.
