**Job title:** Operations Manager **Role Summary:** Provide end‑to‑end operational ownership for a fast‑growing, distributed startup. Own and streamline core business systems, documentation, tooling, and cross‑region coordination to free founders for strategic work and accelerate scalability. **Expectations:** - Take immediate ownership of founders’ day‑to‑day operational tasks. - Establish reliable processes and documentation that operate autonomously. - Serve as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries. - Reduce friction in cross‑time‑zone collaboration and ensure consistent project delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Audit and refine project management, communication, and reporting tools for a distributed team. - Build and maintain internal systems (processes, SOPs, knowledge bases) to support UK, Japan, and APAC operations. - Own onboarding workflows, ensuring new hires are set up efficiently without founder involvement. - Manage compliance and regulatory work streams, coordinating internal and external stakeholders. - Track operational KPIs, provide actionable insights to leadership, and continuously improve performance. **Required Skills:** - 3–5 years in operations, business operations, or chief‑of‑staff roles within a startup/scale‑up. - Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams. - Experience designing, implementing, and scaling internal systems and processes. - Data‑driven approach to monitoring operational metrics. - Knowledge of tooling best practices for distributed teams; ability to evaluate and recommend solutions. - Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, or certification project management. - Understanding of HR onboarding processes is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field. - Additional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management Professional) are advantageous but not mandatory.
