Job Title: Software Engineer – Cyber Security
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and maintain cyber‑security solutions for enterprise and digital channels. Apply knowledge of DDoS protection, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and network‑layer defenses to safeguard the organization’s digital footprint. Drive automation initiatives, Terraform‑based infrastructure, and cloud‑native security configurations.
Expectations:
- Own and resolve security incidents and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary cyber‑security and digital teams.
- Continuously improve defenses against evolving threats.
- Translate technical solutions into clear, actionable outcomes for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage DDoS, bot, and DNS protection tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat intelligence analysis.
- Implement network‑layer security controls (routing, switching, IP, firewalls, WAF).
- Develop and automate security workflows using Terraform, Python, or equivalent.
- Configure and secure cloud environments (Akamai, GCP, Azure) with native security services.
- Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem actions.
- Mentor and support internal teams on security best practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven background in cyber‑security with a focus on threat and vulnerability management.
- Deep understanding of DDoS, bot, and DNS protection mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of networking layers, including routing/switching, IP, protocols, firewalls, and WAFs.
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform) and scripting in Python or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and native security services (Akamai, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of encryption, virtualization, and containerization concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving, ownership, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred.
