Job Description
**Job Title:** Solutions Engineer **Role Summary:** Customer‑facing technical specialist who partners with sales to drive mid‑market and enterprise SaaS deals. Acts as trusted advisor, translating business challenges into tailored cloud‑infrastructure solutions, delivering demos, and ensuring smooth handoff to delivery teams. **Expectations:** - Accelerate sales cycle and increase contract value through effective technical engagement. - Influence deal outcomes and support quota‑carrying sales teams. - Maintain accurate opportunity data and provide market feedback to internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and present customized product demonstrations aligned with prospect use cases. - Lead technical discovery, gather requirements, and map solutions for new customers. - Collaborate with Account Executives to prioritize and advance sales opportunities. - Prepare proposals, conduct security reviews, and perform technical validations. - Update Salesforce (or comparable CRM) with accurate opportunity and activity information. - Deliver strategic guidance on cloud, infrastructure, and software adoption best practices. - Communicate solution value to both technical and executive audiences. - Provide market and customer insights to product and other internal teams. - Support global teams across time zones and travel occasionally for customer engagements or events. **Required Skills:** - 3+ years pre‑sales / sales engineering experience with SaaS or platform solutions. - Strong knowledge of virtual environments, cloud infrastructure, VMs, VMware, or similar technologies. - Proven ability to influence deals, expand deal size, and shorten sales cycles. - Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. - Relevant technical certifications (e.g., cloud, virtualization) are a plus but not mandatory.
