**Job Title:** Research Analyst **Role Summary:** Conduct analytical research and evaluation of state programs and policies to support decision‑making. Responsibilities include data collection, cleaning, statistical analysis, report writing, and presentation of findings to leadership and external partners. **Expectations:** Provide rigorous, data‑driven insights; meet multiple project deadlines; maintain high accuracy and ethical research standards; collaborate across program and leadership teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and execute qualitative and quantitative studies to assess program effectiveness. - Aggregate, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to uncover trends and improvement opportunities. - Produce comprehensive research reports, policy briefs, and executive presentations. - Build and maintain research databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. - Work with program managers and stakeholders to craft research methodologies and evaluation frameworks. - Develop performance metrics, key indicators, and monitoring tools for state initiatives. - Keep abreast of emerging research methodologies, statistical techniques, and industry trends. - Support grant applications, policy analysis, and related research projects. - Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and research capabilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Attention to detail; ability to juggle multiple projects. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in government/public sector program evaluation. - Statistical software proficiency (R, SPSS, SAS, Python). - Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). - Database management and data quality assurance. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related discipline. - Certification in data analysis or program evaluation is a plus.
