Job Description
**Job title** Associate Solutions Engineer **Role Summary** Develop and maintain internal data and automation tools to support global prepaid gift card operations. Leverage Python, SQL, and modern orchestration to build robust ETL pipelines, automate workflows, and integrate with internal and external APIs. Act as a technical liaison, translating business requirements into scalable solutions and providing timely troubleshooting support. **Expectations** - 1–2 years of technical experience (data & tools engineering, data analytics, or junior development). - Proven ability to write complex SQL queries and build Python scripts for data manipulation, API calls, and automation. - Hands‑on experience with ETL concepts; familiarity with Airflow is a major plus. - Capacity to work cross‑functionally with Product Managers and Engineering teams, communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Self‑motivated, proactive problem‑solving mindset, with a bias for action and strong Agile work habits (JIRA, sprint planning). **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based internal tools and scripts to automate manual processes and replace legacy low‑code workflows. - Build, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines (ETL) ensuring accurate data flow between systems. - Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for internal stakeholders and client reporting. - Develop and maintain API integrations for data retrieval and system updates. - Serve as a technical escalation point for data anomalies and system bugs; proactively monitor systems (e.g., New Relic) and investigate root causes. - Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business needs into technical specifications and coordinate with Engineering on architecture alignment. **Required Skills** - Strong SQL – joins, aggregations, and performance tuning. - Python proficiency – data manipulation (Pandas), scripting, API integration. - Knowledge of ETL concepts; experience with Airflow highly desired. - Familiarity with web frameworks (Django or Flask) and low‑code tools (Retool) preferred. - Troubleshooting across database, application, and monitoring layers. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Agile methodology experience (JIRA, sprints). - Self‑driven, detective‑style problem solving and bias for action. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
