Job Description
Job title: Founding Frontend Engineer Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end frontend engineering for a fast‑growing AI B2B platform, building a component library, designing UX, and delivering new features on a weekly cadence. Expectations: Own all frontend surfaces—core web app and embeddable widgets—while collaborating closely with design, product, and backend teams; ship from PRD to production each week; drive roadmap execution, performance optimization, and cross‑browser quality. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with design to create a full component library and design system from scratch. - Implement new features (customer analytics dashboard, chatbot interface, user management overhaul) with reusable components and robust APIs. - Write comprehensive tests, establish CI/CD pipelines, and conduct cross‑browser testing frameworks. - Monitor user interactions, analyze metrics, and iterate for performance and usability. - Maintain documentation, style guides, and component stories in Storybook. - Participate in on‑call rotations and occasional weekend duties as needed. - Mentor junior engineers or peers when appropriate. Required Skills: - 5+ years of frontend development experience, 3+ in VC‑backed or high‑growth scale‑ups. - Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and GraphQL. - Experience building design systems with Tailwind CSS, Figma, and Storybook. - Strong test‑driven development mindset (unit, integration, E2E). - Ability to translate Figma mockups into pixel‑perfect, responsive UIs. - Solid understanding of performance optimization and cross‑browser compatibility. - Excellent communication, ownership, and fast‑ship mentality. - Willingness to work onsite, 4 days a week, with occasional weekend on‑call. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). No specific certifications required.
