Senior FP&A Controller
Role Summary
Strategic finance leader for John Cockerill Hydrogen’s global Business Unit, partnering with management to provide rigorous financial steering, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all operating regions.
Expectations
Deliver data‑driven insights that enable real‑time decision making, align financial targets with business strategy, and support sustainable capital allocation for large‑scale hydrogen projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead regional financial steering and performance analysis for China, HQ, Europe, India, USA, and Middle East.
* Conduct monthly actual‑vs‑budget/forecast reviews, prepare re‑forecasts, and drive the annual budgeting cycle.
* Own creation and monitoring of mid‑term business plans, monthly business reviews (MBRs), and advanced profitability analytics.
* Prepare, consolidate, and validate budgets, forecasts, investment projects, and impairment tests; present business cases to investors.
* Drive project financial management: participate in commitment committees, support managers with ProMoCore cost control, and monitor margins, cash flow, and liquidity.
* Design, implement, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that integrate financial and non‑financial data; translate findings into actionable insights for senior management.
* Oversee balance‑sheet items (working capital, CAPEX, etc.), execute corrective actions, and maintain compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
* Contribute to the financial governance of international projects, including subsidiary consolidation, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning.
Required Skills
* Deep FP&A expertise with experience in multinational, multi‑region financial steering and budgeting.
* Strong analytical and modelling skills, including variance analysis, profitability assessment, and value‑driver identification.
* Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, financial planning systems (e.g., ProMoCore/FPS), and ERP environments.
* Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, concise business insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
* Excellent stakeholder management, influence skills, and collaborative mindset across cultures.
* Knowledge of capital‑intensive industrial projects (ideally green‑hydrogen, energy transition) and related financial tools.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) highly desirable.
