Your role

The primary objective of the Senior Finance Controller role is to act as a key strategic partner to the Hydrogen Business Unit Management, supporting decision-making through the design and implementation of robust performance indicators and the delivery of high-value financial analyses. The role aims to proactively monitor, anticipate, and steer the financial performance of the Business Unit across the various regions in which it operates.

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to and working in close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Finance Controller is responsible for the following missions:

Regional Financial Steering & Performance Analysis (FP&A)

Lead the financial steering and performance analysis of the regions (China, HQ, Europe, India, United States, Middle East)
Perform monthly performance reviews by region
Conduct monthly actuals vs budget and forecast analyses
Prepare and monitor monthly and quarterly reforecasts
Lead the annual budgeting process
Develop mid-term business plans and review regional business plans
Prepare and deliver Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs)
Perform advanced FP&A analyses (performance, profitability, value drivers, optimization levers)
Ensure the consistency, quality, and compliance of financial data submitted during budget and forecast processes
Identify, analyze, and explain variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts

Budgets, Investments, Contracts & Impairment Tests

Prepare and consolidate budgets, forecasts, and business plans in close collaboration with Management
Review and validate investment projects across regions
Perform and monitor impairment tests
Present business plans to investors
Review and validate the financial performance of customer contracts
Analyze cost structures and regional cost sheets

Projects & Operational Financial Management

Participate in project commitment committees, with early involvement in the preparation of financial cases (hourly rates, cash flow, profitability)
Support Project Managers in the use of ProMoCore (cost control, cost-to-complete estimates, cash flow tracking, project review documentation)
Monitor margins, cash flow, liquidity, and cash-in across the Business Unit
Build forecast workload curves and ensure alignment between future workload and workforce capacity

Reporting & Performance Indicators

Prepare and validate monthly operational reporting combining financial and non-financial data
Translate financial indicators into business-relevant insights for Management
Define, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators in line with Management needs and Group standards
Monitor balance sheet items (working capital, CAPEX, etc.) and implement corrective actions in case of deviations

Governance, Compliance & Strategy

Prepare and contribute to financial audits for the validation of accounts and results
Provide financial expertise for specific operations, particularly in international projects (subsidiary cre
