Job Description
Job title: Sales Engineer Role Summary: Remote sales engineer responsible for maintaining existing accounts and expanding sales in Southwest France’s manufacturing sector, focusing on conveyor and process automation solutions. Expectations: Minimum 5 years in technical sales, proven success selling complex enterprise solutions with up‑selling/cross‑selling; strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills; bilingual French & English; regular travel within southwest France and occasionally abroad; proficient with MS Office and CRM (e.g. Salesforce). Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement a growth strategy that centers on customer satisfaction. 2. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and understand prospective customers’ needs. 3. Arrange and lead business meetings, product demos, and stakeholder presentations. 4. Draft, negotiate, and close sales proposals and contracts while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines. 5. Record and manage sales data, revenue, payments, and pipeline metrics. 6. Gather competitive intelligence and feed insights back to product and marketing teams. 7. Provide after‑sales support and nurture long‑term relationships with both new and existing clients. Required Skills: Technical product knowledge, consultative selling, up‑selling/cross‑selling, relationship building, negotiation, data analysis, presentation, bilingual communication, CRM proficiency (Salesforce), Windows Office. Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Preferred certifications: Certified Sales Professional, or relevant technical vendor certifications.
