**Job title:** Account Director **Role Summary:** Senior client‑facing leader responsible for retaining and expanding a portfolio of global accounts. Drives revenue and margin targets, leads new‑business pitches, shapes strategic communications, and manages contract, finance, and post‑project performance. Operates cross‑functionally with creative, production, and finance teams, providing strategic insight and commercial guidance. Requires domestic and international travel (≈25‑30%) and flexible office/hybrid working. **Expections:** - Meet or exceed agreed revenue and margin targets for existing and new accounts. - Secure repeat briefs and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities. - Deliver accurate CRM data, contract files, and financial reporting within agreed timelines. - Provide strategic recommendations and up-sell/cross‑sell opportunities to grow the agency’s service line. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own assigned client portfolio, ensuring high levels of account satisfaction and account growth. - Pitch and secure new business, presenting proposals that align with client objectives and agency capabilities. - Lead internal discovery, ideation, and proposal development, coordinating cross‑departmental teams. - Negotiate and manage contracts (MSA, SOW, SLA), secure POs, and work with finance to ensure timely invoicing and payment. - Oversee project delivery, offering guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring quality, scope, timeline, and budget adherence. - Conduct post‑project debriefs, capture lessons learned, and integrate improvements into future work. - Perform regular account reviews, tracking KPIs, ROI, and identifying growth areas. - Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client contacts, acting as trusted advisor. - Develop measurement plans, analyze performance data, and recommend optimizations. - Champion the agency’s brand, attending industry events, and securing PR or speaking opportunities. - Maintain comprehensive CRM records, tracking all encounters and sales metrics. **Required Skills:** - Proven strategic account management and client‑relationship building. - Strong commercial acumen: contract negotiation, margin management, and P&L awareness. - Experience leading cross‑functional teams through ideation, execution, and delivery. - Excellent presentation, proposal, and communication skills (verbal & written). - Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and financial reporting tools. - Ability to analyze data, create measurement plans, and translate insights into action. - Adaptability for frequent travel and hybrid working arrangements. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 8–10 years in agency account management, media, or strategic communications. - Additional certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Professional in Marketing Strategy) are a plus.
