Job Description
**Job Title** Business Development Partner **Role Summary** Drive new business acquisition across Europe for a finance automation technology firm specializing in Record‑to‑Report, accounting automation, financial & HR reporting, and custom Azure/Power Platform workflows. Act as a self‑directed senior sales professional focused on converting complex B2B engagements with finance and operations leaders into signed contracts. **Expectations** - Build and manage an autonomous sales pipeline in Europe, targeting mid‑market and multinational companies. - Deliver closed deals that align with the company’s financial‑automation solutions. - Maintain long‑term client relationships, ensuring account growth over time. - Operate fully remotely with weekly progress reporting. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect and engage decision‑makers (CFOs, Finance Directors, Ops Directors) with siloed or manual financial processes. - Conduct discovery calls, identify pain points, and articulate the value of Calan’s automation portfolio. - Draft and deliver tailored proposals in collaboration with internal technical and commercial teams. - Negotiate contract terms, secure signatures, and close sales. - Maintain pipeline integrity, forecast revenue, and update CRM with detailed activity logs. - Foster enduring relationships to support upsell and cross‑sell opportunities. **Required Skills** - Extensive senior‑level network in Finance or Operations across one or more European markets. - Proven track record selling complex B2B services (BPO, financial outsourcing, accounting software, SaaS). - Experience navigating multi‑party sales cycles with stakeholder alignment. - High level of self‑management, independent pipeline ownership, and outcome focus. - Professional proficiency in English (written & spoken). **Preferred Additional Skills** - Prior experience with Accenture BPO, Capgemini, Genpact, Capita, or similar ecosystems. - Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, or Dynamics 365 solutions. - Connections within logistics, retail, or technology sectors that house large finance operations. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. - Certifications in sales or finance (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Person, CPA, or similar) are advantageous but not mandatory.
