**Job Title**
Data Scientist – 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract
**Role Summary**
Deliver advanced analytics and machine‑learning solutions to internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced, Scrum‑driven environment. Translate complex, often disjointed data into actionable insights, scalable models, and self‑service dashboards that drive business strategy and operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Respond to ad‑hoc analysis requests from Client Group stakeholders, producing clear reports and presentations.
2. Lead proactive research projects to uncover new growth or risk opportunities, delivering findings through dashboards, prototypes, and executive briefs.
3. Build and deploy predictive models, recommendation engines, and statistical assessments on complex datasets.
4. Design and maintain reusable analytical pipelines, data transformation workflows, and visualization libraries.
5. Convert raw data into structured, high‑quality, derived datasets suitable for analytics and reporting.
6. Collaborate closely with data engineers and developers to onboard data, deploy models, and automate end‑to‑end solutions.
7. Advocate data‑driven decision making, ensuring tools are adopted and valued by business users.
**Required Skills**
* Programming & tooling: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, XGBoost, LightGBM), SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake), Jupyter notebooks.
* Statistical & machine‑learning techniques: regression, classification, clustering, time‑series forecasting, recommendation algorithms, hypothesis testing, A/B testing.
* Data engineering basics: ETL, data wrangling, API integration, data quality checks.
* Data visualization & tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker or equivalent; ability to build interactive dashboards.
* Soft skills: data storytelling, clear written and oral communication, stakeholder management, teamwork, adaptability.
* Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with CI/CD principles for analytics.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
* Minimum 2–4 years of professional data‑science or analytics experience.
* Certifications that add value: Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, or equivalent – not mandatory but preferred.
