Job Description
**Job title** Commercial Director – Regulated Consulting **Role Summary** Lead commercial strategy and execution for a portfolio of key national accounts in the regulated water, power, and gas sectors. Drive double‑digit revenue growth, gross margin, and EBITDA targets through pipeline development, contract negotiations, and cross‑functional team alignment. Serve as a senior member of the regulated consulting leadership team, shaping strategy, securing long‑term contracts, and ensuring high‑quality customer delivery. **Expectations** - Deliver sustained double‑digit sales growth and incremental margin improvement. - Meet or exceed contracted sales, gross margin, and EBITDA targets. - Convert pipeline opportunities into repeat revenue contracts across all service lines. - Maintain a healthy aged debt profile for defined customers. - Present PMO reporting on sector progress and KPI achievement. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage stakeholder and contract relationships for a portfolio of key market accounts. - Act as commercial lead for the regulated consulting group and for Adler & Allan. - Host monthly/quarterly business reviews with senior customer stakeholders. - Build, manage, and execute the growth pipeline for the specialist group and company. - Lead new contract and renewal negotiations, coordinating bids, technical, marketing, and operational resources. - Develop and convert a validated pipeline of prospects into invoiced work. - Own and present PMO reporting of sector progress on a monthly basis. - Develop market‑sector growth strategy, action plans, and coordinate delivery of customer‑aligned processes. - Monitor sales penetration across regional sites, coordinating resources across functions. - Organise and lead internal and external customer review meetings (minimum quarterly). - Provide high‑quality customer management information and design specific customer propositions. - Maintain senior purchasing, finance, operational, and technical customer relationships for new business. - Lead engagement with professional bodies to increase market visibility. **Required Skills** - 10+ years of successful B2B sales or account management in services/solutions to national organisations. - Experience in regulated or energy infrastructure environments. - Proven ability to manage and motivate sales/account teams. - Strong business‑solutioning skills to create bespoke offerings from a broad service portfolio. - Demonstrated success in implementing solutions and managing contracts. - Financial acumen with focus on net profit drivers. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Ability to influence and obtain buy‑in across multidisciplinary teams. - Resilience, tenacity, and a positive attitude to change. - Strong planning, organisational, and PC‑based IT skills. - Track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (preferred; not mandatory). - Professional sales training or equivalent qualification. - Clean UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK. - Criminal Record Check (required for role).
