**Job title:** Technical Business Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Act as the technical liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams within a large banking/finance organization. Capture, analyse, and validate business and technical requirements, drive process improvements, and support DevOps initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and system reliability.
**Expactations:**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or finance environments.
- Proven track record of working in large matrix organisations with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Independent, proactive owner of work with a “can‑do” attitude.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.
- Map, analyse, and optimise process flows; identify opportunities for automation or DevOps integration.
- Participate in project planning and risk assessments for major initiatives (e.g., M&A, integrations, divestitures).
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend effective, sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure integrated deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Ansible).
- Maintain and update project artefacts in Jira, Confluence, and related documentation platforms.
- Use monitoring and logging tools to validate system performance and uptime.
- Produce concise reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for senior management.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency with DevOps tools: Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Nexus/Sonatype, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling (Ansible, G3).
- Experience with monitoring & logging tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, New Relic).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including root‑cause analysis.
- Solid working knowledge of database concepts and ability to query and analyse data.
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Familiarity with M&A, integrations, and divestitures is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, computer science, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), ScrumMaster, or DevOps Engineer may be advantageous.
