Job title: Splunk ITSI Expert
Role Summary: Senior specialist responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining Level 4 observability solutions on the Splunk platform, integrating metrics, logs, traces, AI/ML models, and ITSM tools to deliver real‑time alerts, comprehensive dashboards, root‑cause analysis, and predictive insights for global client environments.
Expactations:
- Deliver end‑to‑end observability solutions that meet defined SLAs and exceed performance targets.
- Sustain platform reliability, data accuracy, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve processes, tooling, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy Level 4 observability across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid infrastructures.
- Manage event lifecycle, component‑level metrics, logs, and traces; build time‑series topology.
- Develop and tune AI/ML models for anomaly detection, predictive and preventive insights.
- Create and maintain alerts, dashboards, reports, and business‑impact analyses.
- Integrate Splunk with ITSM platforms (ITIL, ServiceNow) to support incident, problem, and change management.
- Ensure optimal data ingestion pipelines, indexing strategies, and storage efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on Splunk best practices.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience architecting Level 4 observability solutions.
- Expert knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk ITSI, and associated best practices.
- Strong understanding of ITSM concepts (ITIL, ServiceNow) and service‑management processes.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Shell, Perl).
- Experience with data modeling, AI/ML, and predictive analytics.
- Solid grasp of network, server, and application infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Splunk Core Certified Power User and Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator (preferred).
- Splunk ITSI Certified Professional (highly desirable).
- Valid ITSM certifications (ITIL v4 Foundation or equivalent) are a bonus.
