**Job Title**
Chief Architect – United Kingdom
**Role Summary**
Senior technology leader reporting to the UK Chief Digital Officer. Owns the enterprise architecture vision, principles, and governance for the UK Technology Group. Drives scalable, secure, and innovative architectures across Digital Workplace, Hybrid IT, Network & Security, Application Development, Data & AI, and emerging compute services. Acts as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders and partners, ensuring alignment with Fujitsu’s global architecture strategy and business outcomes.
**Expectations**
- Define and maintain a cohesive UK enterprise architecture aligned with global standards.
- Champion architecture as a strategic discipline and embed governance in all technology initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a community of CTOs, architects, and technologists.
- Provide architectural guidance for portfolio development, offering creation, and partner‑enabled solutions.
- Anticipate emerging technologies and integrate AI, quantum, and advanced compute capabilities into the roadmap.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Set and own the UK enterprise architecture vision, principles, and reference models.
- Conduct architecture reviews, boards, and governance activities to ensure sustainable, value‑driven designs.
- Provide architectural leadership for strategic portfolios: Digital Workplace, Cloud & Platforms, Network & Security, App Development, Management & Integration, Platform Engineering, Data & AI.
- Advise portfolio owners and offering leads on architectural integrity throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Develop and standardize tooling ecosystems for offering creation, management, and evolution.
- Collaborate with Head of AI and engineering leaders to embed architecture in AI, data platforms, and automation initiatives.
- Support the introduction of Quantum and High‑Performance Computing services to the UK market.
- Manage architecture governance frameworks, assurance processes, and technology standards.
- Work with global and UK partners (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, ServiceNow) to ensure architectural fit and accelerate partner‑led solutions.
- Maintain a forward‑looking technology roadmap, identifying disruptive trends and transformation opportunities.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives on architecture trade‑offs, technology strategy, and investment decisions.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership in enterprise or solution architecture within large, matrixed technology or IT services organizations.
- Deep knowledge of modern architectures: cloud‑native, hybrid IT, microservices, integration, security, and data platforms.
- Experience driving large‑scale technical change and continuous evolution programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence at C‑suite and technical levels.
- Ability to translate architectural principles into actionable roadmaps and business‑focused outcomes.
- Experience with global platform ecosystems and partner integration.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments with competing priorities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience leading complex technical change and architectural governance.
- Relevant architectural certifications highly desirable (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect).
