Job Description

Job title: Azure Solutions Engineer (AKS) Role Summary: Provide end‑to‑end design and delivery of Azure/Kubernetes (AKS) solutions for public‑sector clients within a fast‑growing consultancy. Focus on secure, scalable cloud‑native workloads and progression toward a Solution Architect role. Expactations: • Own design, deployment and optimisation of production AKS clusters. • Deliver Azure‑based data and platform solutions that meet security and compliance requirements. • Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and produce clear technical artefacts. • Take ownership of projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently. • Progress toward Azure & Kubernetes Solution Architect certification and leadership. • Participate in multiple client engagements, adapting to diverse technical and business contexts. Key Responsibilities: - Design Azure‑based data and platform solutions for government clients. - Deploy, operate, and continuously improve AKS clusters in production environments. - Build and support containerised workloads. - Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. - Contribute to architectural decisions and take increasing ownership as experience grows. - Write high‑quality design documents, technical specifications, and other artefacts. - Stay up to date with emerging cloud, data, and DevOps technologies. - Engage directly with stakeholders to elicit requirements and shape solutions. Required Education & Certifications: - Numerate or technical degree, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent professional experience. - Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑CSP, AZ‑400) preferred but not mandatory.
