Cyber Security Architect

Location: Remote / Home-based with occasional client travel

We are supporting a growing cyber security consultancy that is expanding its architecture and technical consulting capability. Due to increasing demand from clients across multiple sectors, they are looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Security Architect to join their consulting team.

This role will focus on helping organisations design and implement secure environments across cloud, hybrid and on-premise infrastructures, ensuring security is embedded from initial design through to implementation.

Working closely with the Technical Consulting Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering secure architecture designs, cyber risk assessments, and strategic security guidance.

As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you will:

Deliver technical security architecture services to a wide range of clients across multiple industries.
Design secure systems and produce key architecture artefacts including:

Threat models

Risk assessments

High and low level design documentation

Secure architecture blueprints

Provide technical advice and consultancy to clients as a trusted advisor.
Lead and manage multiple consulting engagements simultaneously.
Support the development of the consulting and architecture service offering.
Work closely with engineering, SOC and operational teams to ensure effective delivery.
Contribute to cyber roadmaps, operating models and security improvement programmes.
Support cyber assessments and consulting engagements both independently and as part of a team.

Key Requirements

Experience designing and implementing cyber security architecture across cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments - actual hands-on architecture experience (i.e. creating and reviewing High or Low level designs)
Experience in cyber security consulting or auditing
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS
Experience with stakeholder management (requirement to present outputs to either senior stakeholders or clients and able to articulate as such to technical/non technical audiences)
Experience delivering security solutions across endpoint, network and cloud security domains

Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks including:

NIST
CIS
ISO 27001
NCSC CAF
Cyber Essentials

Desirable Experience

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA
Architecture frameworks such as SABSA or TOGAF
ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer
Cloud certifications in Azure or AWS

Experience leading complex transformation programmes or security initiatives.
