Job title: Medior/Senior Business Developer Role Summary: Drive the expansion of a financial‑services consulting firm by generating qualified business opportunities, crafting tailored commercial narratives, and establishing initial client contacts. Expections: Deliver new business pipeline, secure qualified introductory meetings, and support the sales cycle through research, prospecting, and documentation. Key Responsibilities - Develop in‑depth knowledge of the firm’s service portfolio and the financial services market. - Craft and refine compelling commercial stories that align with client pain points. - Identify, target, and approach decision makers in banks, insurers, asset managers, etc., using multi‑channel outreach (networking, events, digital tools). - Secure and schedule qualified introduction meetings with prospects. - Qualify client needs in early interactions, structure opportunities (scope, stakeholders, timing), and enable consultants to pursue proposals. - Collaborate with internal experts to design commercial approaches and coordinate their involvement in client engagements. - Gather and share market insights, competitive intelligence, and client feedback to inform sales strategy. - Maintain accurate CRM records, produce regular activity reports, and monitor KPIs focused on opportunity quality. - Represent the firm at client meetings, events, and networking initiatives to enhance brand visibility. Required Skills - Minimum 5 years of business development, sales, or account management experience. - Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex service offerings into clear value propositions. - Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. - Proven track record of engaging senior stakeholders and initiating high‑level conversations. - Structured, proactive, results‑oriented mindset; comfort with prospecting. - Collaborative working style with cross‑functional teams. - Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Professional certifications in sales or consulting are advantageous but not mandatory.
