Job Title: Salesforce Architect
Role Summary:
Hands‑on fractional consultant leading technology and data architecture for a data‑driven organization. Own the evaluation, optimisation, and future‑proofing of the tech stack, with a focus on Salesforce, integrations, data flow, and governance, delivering end‑to‑end improvements and a transition plan for a Data Operations Manager.
Expactations:
- Deliver tangible optimisation in Salesforce and CRM environments.
- Resolve data sync, integration, and process inefficiencies quickly.
- Implement data governance, taxonomy, and quality controls.
- Guide senior stakeholders through technology decisions.
- Hand over a clear roadmap for ongoing data operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own overall technology and data architecture, reviewing tools, platforms, integrations, and workflows.
- Assess fit‑for‑purpose of existing systems (Salesforce, marketing, events, finance, data platforms) and recommend improvements.
- Optimise system interoperability, data flows, and integrations across CRM, marketing automation, ERP, and data lake.
- Lead troubleshooting of data sync issues, integration failures, and process inefficiencies.
- Own priority initiatives: Salesforce and CRM optimisations; marketing automation and campaign architecture; ERP workflows and data flows; new tool evaluation (e.g., Airtable).
- Define and implement data management best practices—structure, taxonomy, governance, duplicate management, data quality, reporting readiness, and data accessibility.
- Advise on security, compliance, and governance (ISO, data protection) in partnership with external IT providers.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Create a detailed roadmap and handover plan for a future Data Operations Manager.
Required Skills:
- Senior architecture or technology leadership experience (CTO, Head of Technology, Senior Solutions Architect).
- Deep understanding of CRM‑led architectures, ideally Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Pardot/Marketing Engagement).
- Proven ability to design and improve data architecture, integrations, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience with data lakes (e.g., BigQuery), BI/visualisation tools, and system integrations.
- Strong stakeholder management and change‑leadership skills in growth‑stage environments.
- Practical problem‑solving with hands‑on system optimisation.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Architect, Platform Developer, Salesforce Administrator) preferred.
- Additional certifications in data architecture, integration, or project management (e.g., TOGAF, PMI‑PMP) welcome.
