Job Description
Job title: Data & AI Business Development Executive Role Summary: Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth for a scaling data & AI consultancy, focusing on Databricks and cloud-native data solutions, while shaping GTM strategy and building market presence. Expactations: Secure enterprise and mid‑market clients, consistently meet or exceed revenue targets, develop a robust pipeline, and contribute to product positioning and sales enablement within a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Identify and win new logo business across enterprise and mid‑market organisations. 2. Build, nurture and convert a high‑quality pipeline for data consultancy, cloud data engineering and modern data platform services. 3. Promote and sell Databricks consultancy services and broader cloud data solutions. 4. Partner with founders, consultants and technical leaders to craft compelling proposals and win themes. 5. Conduct effective client discovery, understanding business outcomes, challenges and buying cycles. 6. Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events and on‑site engagements across the UK. 7. Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and structured reporting. 8. Act as a trusted advisor, fostering long‑term relationships and market presence. Required Skills: • 3+ years of B2B new business development in data consultancy, cloud consulting or technology professional services. • Proven track record of securing new logos and meeting/exceeding revenue targets. • Experience selling Databricks or comparable modern data platform/cloud analytics solutions. • Deep knowledge of the Data & Analytics ecosystem (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure/AWS/GCP, data engineering, ML/AI). • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a small, scaling consultancy. • Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation and relationship‑building skills. • Ability to sell to senior leaders and technical teams. • UK‑based with travel flexibility. Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field; relevant data platform certifications (e.g., Databricks Engineer, Azure/AWS/GCP data services) preferred.
