Job Description
**Job title** Implementation Engineer **Role Summary** Drive the end‑to‑end technical implementation of Laurel’s AI Time platform for professional services clients. This role blends integration engineering, DevOps monitoring, and client‑facing support to ensure seamless connectivity between Laurel and client Practice Management Systems (PMS), particularly via iPaaS tools such as Boomi. **Expectations** - 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in integration engineering, DevOps, or technical support. - Proficiency in troubleshooting complex, multi‑system data flows under high‑pressure go‑live and migration scenarios. - Strong communication skills for liaising with client IT teams and translating technical details into accessible language. - Ability to work flexible hours (evenings/weekends) during critical cutover periods. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Client Integrations (30%)** - Design, build, and customize Boomi processes for new customer integrations. - Validate data integrity during deployment and post‑implementation testing. - Coordinate zero‑downtime migrations between billing systems, managing all transition activities. - Deliver urgent support during go‑live periods and document lessons learned. 2. **DevOps & System Monitoring (25%)** - Continuously monitor integration health; respond to alerts for client‑centric systems. - Investigate and resolve Boomi Atom shutdowns, flow exceptions, and data flow discrepancies. - Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures. - Optimize integration performance by refactoring inefficient processes. 3. **Internal Support Escalation (25%)** - Provide Level‑2 technical escalation support across multiple client environments. - Diagnose multi‑system conflicts (Laurel, Boomi, PMS, productivity tools). - Create knowledge‑base articles for common patterns and collaborate with engineering for code fixes. 4. **Client Technical Support (20%)** - Communicate directly with client IT contacts to explain and resolve incidents. - Coordinate with client teams to rectify integration faults on their end. - Attend weekly check‑in meetings with key clients and provide status updates during incidents. **Required Skills** - Integration platform experience (Boomi, MuleSoft, Zapier, or equivalent iPaaS). - API and database proficiency – REST APIs, SQL queries, relational database concepts. - Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills across distributed systems. - Experience with system monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk). - Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control, environment orchestration). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field. - Industry certifications preferred: Boomi Certified Integration Professional (MDP), MuleSoft Certified Developer, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent. ---
